A truly iconic claret, classically elegant yet with a gravitas to tribute its namesake, it stands as the pinnacle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Warm aromas of vanilla pod and dark chocolate entice the palate creating anticipation of the basket of dark berries and brambles which lie in wait. Silky and smooth on entry, the wine unsheathes a flinty minerality, remnants of the soil’s identity. TASTING NOTESThe nose is characterized by freshness and spice, vanilla pod, dark chocolate and hay aromas. Silky and smooth on entry, the wine has a flinty minerality with subtle tannins and huge length and persistence. The flavour profile is dominated by tangy, ripe, almost over-ripe red berries together with brambles and cassis – classic flavours expected in a top quality claret.
