Peppery spices, tarry earth, crushed wildflowers, truffles and wet river rocks frame the succulent red and black fruits in the delicious ’13 Primofiore. Complex enough to be interesting yet uncomplicated and easy drinking, this wine glides across the palate with a silky, electric feel–it’s a sheer delight. Primofiore is a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc; the Cabernet Sauvignon is partially dried to intensify the wine’s flavor profile and its texture. Primofiore, which means “first flower,” is the easily accessible Quintarelli red, and a delicious wine that consistently over-delivers at its price point.
