Winemaker Notes
From the renowned Fontodi estate, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 2013 is a traditional Tuscan dessert wine made from Malvasia and Sangiovese grapes. The grapes are dried for six months before being pressed, followed by ageing in small French oak and chestnut barrels for nine years. The process creates a deep golden wine with an intense and candied yet elegant nose. Aromas of dried fruits, apricots, dates, and almonds. On the palate, it is sweet, rounded, dense and silky with a long, refreshing finish. Ideal for pairing with cantucci or other desserts.
