Winemaker Notes – Osvaldo Viberti ‘Galàt’ Dolcetto d’Alba DOC 2020

Dolcetto, which means “little sweet one,” is a grape closely associated with the Piedmont region, where despite being viewed as a younger brother to Nebbiolo and Barbera, it’s most often the wine of choice at meals among the Piedmontese.

A smooth and easy-drinking ruby wine. Delicate aromas of red berries, cherries, and a hint of floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and lively with soft tannins and a subtle finish, making it an ideal companion for pasta dishes, light meats, and cheeses.
