The 2018 is another darling in a string of spicy, gutsy Carignanes from these venerable old vines, planted in 1901. They have been organically farmed without irrigation over the course of their lives and continue to produce very low yields while speaking to their terroir with deep, intense fruit. We treat the grapes traditionally, retaining all of the stems to produce the most complex wine possible while giving extra mid-palate and nuance. Notes of blackberry, bramble, sage, black pepper and rosemary fill the glass and echo on the full, silky palate with depth and persistence on the long finish. 109 cases produced.
