Winemaker Notes
The colour of the Barolo red wine is, precisely, garnet red with orange reflections. The olfactory profile of Barolo is intense and exceptionally complex, with notes that tend to be fruity and floral, like violet and vanilla, or tertiary like goudron and spices. Its “hard” components are pleasant: acidity, tannins, salts but, at the same time, the “soft” ones are pleasantly balanced: alcohols and sugar alcohols. Thanks to the intensity and exceptional persistence, they make Barolo the unequivocal “King of Wines”, famous all over the world.
Food pairings: Fur game, stewed game, red meat, matured cheese
Grapes: Nebbiolo – sub-varieties Michet, Lampia, Rosé.
