Winemaker Notes

From the Campagnola winery, this wine is exclusively made from handpicked Nero d’Avola grapes allowed to dry slightly on the vine (similar to Appasimento wines) in selected vineyards in the Menfi area of western Sicily. Bright red with violet hints, this typical Nero has a rich and fruit-driven bouquet and palate with underlying spice enhanced by the concentrated flavours as a result of the vine drying. The result is a full, warm and rich red wine with deep red fruit, vanilla and tobacco flavours.
