Winemaker Notes
Produced only in exceptional years, this 100% Sangiovese Brunello di Montalcino is a true icon. The vineyard, the oldest around the villa, features vines over 50 years old at an altitude of over 450m. This wine boasts a light garnet colour and complex aromas of fruit, smoky notes, black tobacco, violet, and liquorice. Young tannins and balanced acidity make it both elegant and youthful. The velvety mouthfeel leads to a long, persistent finish. Likely the last wine nurtured by the legendary Franco Biondi-Santi, it stands out as a star among Italian wines.
