Distilled from Scottish barley in 2013, Octomore 10.1 is the benchmark of the 10s series. Deliberately stripped of a former American oak maturation, aged only 5 years, the .1 edition exhibits the structure and presence of the Octomore spirit. Combining smoking with modest ripening, this 10.1 first demonstrates the true potential of thoughtful and patient distillation.

Limited series of 42,000 bottles.

The aroma is vanilla led, caramel, hints of smoke but tamed back. The palate is soft yet powerful and warm in the mouth; peppery, barley sugar, smokey – dried earth. The finish has the sweetness of charred oak, a strong peat smoke and cold ocean air.
