Distillery Notes – Gordon & MacPhail Discovery Glen Grant 11 Yr Old

The Gordon & MacPhail Discovery range examines the core flavours at the heart of Scotch single malt whisky. and this is the headline of the Smoky side of things. A Single Malt cask aged 11 years from the historic Glen Grant distillery in the Speyside region. Classic Speyside aromas with zesty Seville oranges, stewed fruits of red berries, plums & cherries, appear with plenty of cinnamon + clove spice and nuances of milk chocolate. A creamy palate followed by cracked black pepper, and dark forest fruits with warming spice. Orange marmalade flavours come to the fore. Roasted walnut leads to toasted oak. Long lasting with lingering chocolate and orange flavours.
