Cellar Master Notes – Rémy Martin LOUIS XIII
LOUIS XIII Cognac is crafted from the finest eaux-de-vie, from grapes grown in Grande Champagne – the premier cru of the Cognac region. No two of the iconic decanters are the same, handcrafted by skilled artisans in premier European crystal houses. Made of fine crystal, individually numbered, and adorned with a fleur-de-lis stopper, the design reflects the timeless luxury and heritage of this legendary cognac. The iconic decanter is inspired by a 16th-century flask discovered at the Battle of Jarnac and later owned by LOUIS XIII founder Rémy Martin.
LOUIS XIII cognac should be savoured drop by drop. It opens on the palate with the unmistakable woody notes of aged oak casks, leading to an explosion of floral, fruity and spicy aromas, including dried roses, honey, myrrh, cigar box, plum, honeysuckle, leather, figs and passion fruit.
Each sip is a journey through time, embodying over a century of craftsmanship.
