The Solaia 2016 is revered by critics and beloved by everyone. One of the all-time great Solaia’s, potentially surpassing the renowned 2015, with precise flavours and lifted aromas creating a thrill factor that is impossible to resist.

Solaia is the gold standard of Super Tuscans, and few wines have as sterling a reputation as this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Franc. This renegade wine from the Antinori family is one of the Godfathers of the original Super Tuscan movement that took the world by storm in the 1970s and 1980s.

Aromatic notes of ripe dark fruit fused with sensations of aromatic herbs and mint; notes of chocolate alternate with spicy suggestions of white pepper. The palate is rich with silky tannins. Flavours of dark berries, plum, blackcurrant, cedar, tobacco and vanilla converge on the finish, which is very long, fresh and satisfying.
