Winemaker Notes
2018 was a gorgeous vintage. A warm and even growing season and perfect fruit set created wines with marked concentration and complexity.
Lewelling Ranch is on the loamy, well drained soils of an alluvial fan created by thousands of years of river deposits. These soils are some of our favorite to work with–they require careful attention and diligence in the field but make impressive wines.
The 2018 Grove is an intense wine. Dark, serious and thorough, it is richly layered with notes of blackberry, lavender and exotic spice.
