Winemaker Notes

Darker and thicker than our original Lambrusco di Sorbara, ‘Romeo’ is a typical Lambrusco wine of the hills near Modena, obtained from a selection of 100% Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro grapes. It has an intense ruby red colour with violet hues and an evanescent, complete froth. The wine’s aroma is intense with hints of red fruits like cherries, currants and blackberries, with slight floral notes of violets and vinosity. The taste is well structured, dry, fresh, and supple, with a pleasant lingering flavour and gentle tannins.
