The Barbera d’Alba Pistin of Giacomo Grimaldi is a tribute to his grandfather Ernesto, who used to remind to his nephew Ferruccio the importance of precision (pistin in Piedmont dialect means, in fact, fussy) necessary to make an high quality Barbera. This is a fresh and pleasant wine; at sight it strikes with a shining ruby red color with purple reflections, while, in the nose, it emanates aromas of berries with hints of vanilla and ginger. In the mouth, it comes fresh and complex with a balanced final. You have to try it absolutely with cold cuts and typical dishes of the Piedmont tradition.
